Winter Wholeness: An Enneagram–Mandala Workshop

Join us for a journey that blends the wisdom of the Enneagram with the art of mandala-making, inspired by Carl Jung’s introspective practices.

Mandalas are more than beautiful designs—they’re powerful tools for self-discovery, helping us explore wholeness and balance within ourselves. When paired with the Enneagram, they become a way to uncover deeper insights, integrate overlooked aspects of ourselves, and connect with the essence of each type.

Over 9 weeks, we’ll create a personal mandala for each Enneagram type, using it as a lens to understand how that type shows up in your inner world.

You don’t need to be an artist to join! This workshop emphasizes intuitive creation, using sensory experiences like tea ceremonies and sound meditation to support your process.

This workshop is designed for those who already have:

  • A basic understanding of the Enneagram

  • Knowledge of their primary type

If you’re new or need a refresher, I’m offering:

  • A 3-hour intro workshop on January 4, 2025, from 2–5 PM to help you prepare for the journey.

The 9-week series runs on Saturdays, January 18 through March 15, 2025, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM.

Program Features

Schedule & Setting

  • 9-Weeks: January 18th — March 15th, 2025

  • Saturdays 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

  • Each session lasts 90 minutes and includes a soothing tea ceremony, sound healing, and the creation of a personal Enneagram mandala.

  • We’ll gather in my centrally located office at 191 Chesnut Rd., Asheville.

The room is spacious yet warm, perfectly suited for our group of six. Seating options include a mix of a comfortable couch, chairs, floor cushions, and mats for lying down.

*Please let me know if you’d like a specific seating arrangement reserved for you.

  • Each week will focus on a specific Enneagram type, inviting you to engage with Jung’s mandala process to create a deeply personal piece.

Guided by your intuition, your mandala will reflect your inner relationship with the type—uncovering its essence as it lives within you.

Sensory experiences, such as tea and sound healing, will provide subtle inspiration, but the focus is on drawing from your own subconscious insights.

*This workshop is designed for those with a basic understanding of the Enneagram, as the focus is not on external learning but on exploring the types as universal archetypes and integral parts of your wholeness.

  • Full Payment: $360-$450 for the entire series.

  • Sliding Scale: $50-70 per week. Reach out if you were impacted by Helene and need this to go lower.

The mandala is the Self, the wholeness of the personality, which if all goes well is harmonious.

The Experience

Each session includes a presentation on the week’s Enneagram type, a tea and sound ceremony, and personalized mandala creation. Group discussions allow for reflection, insight-sharing, and deeper understanding, with mandala work completed during the session and at home.

  • During the tea ceremony, you’ll participate in a timeless tradition that cultivates mindfulness and presence, savoring herbal tea inspired by the essence of the Enneagram type. This ritual invites stillness and connection, grounding you in the moment.

Accompanying the tea, the calming tones of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls create a soothing soundscape. Sound healing, supported by emerging research, uses vibrations to reduce stress and evoke the 'felt sense' of essence, deepening your experience.

  • The creation of mandalas, emphasized in Jungian psychology, is a profound practice for exploring wholeness, integration, and individuation. Mandalas symbolize the Self and provide a visual framework for bringing shadow aspects into awareness and fostering inner harmony.

In this series, you’ll create a personalized mandala for each Enneagram type, using Jung’s mandala practice to explore how each type exists within you—as an integrated quality or a shadow aspect awaiting recognition. This process offers a unique way to deepen your understanding of the Enneagram while cultivating a more unified and embodied sense of self.

Participants

This workshop is for those who already have a basic understanding of the Enneagram and their primary type. If you’re new or need a refresher, I’m offering a 3-hour intro workshop on January 4, 2025, from 2–5 PM to get you ready for the journey.

  • What sets my approach to the Enneagram apart is my emphasis on essence as a lived, somatic experience.

Rather than focusing solely on personality patterns, I inspire people to connect with the ‘felt sense’ of each type’s essence—a tangible, nourishing quality that heals and balances the nervous system.

Through sensory practices like tea ceremonies, sound healing, and creative exploration, I invite a direct experience of the Enneagram’s core wisdom.

This approach integrates somatic science, Jungian principles, and decades of Enneagram study to offer an embodied path toward deeper self-awareness, integration, individuation, and wholeness.

  • No prior experience with Jungian mandalas, tea ceremony, sound healing or art is required to join this series. Whether you’re new to these practices or have explored them before, this is a safe and welcoming space for all.

Hi, I’m Tammy

My Enneagram journey began in childhood, introduced by my mother who taught with Oscar Ichazo's Arica School in the 80s and 90s. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion, leading me to study under renowned teachers like A. H. Almaas, Sandra Maitri, and Helen Palmer.

In my early adulthood, I developed a deep interest in archetypal psychology, particularly Jungian concepts like individuation and shadow work, alongside Vedic traditions emphasizing embodiment and the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.

This led me to explore mandalas as tools for self-discovery, inspired by Jung’s belief that they symbolize the Self and foster wholeness. I also delved into sacred geometry, linking its universal designs to the archetypal patterns of the Enneagram.

Over the last decade, I’ve immersed myself in the art of tea ceremony, both solo and in groups, finding it to be a practice that nurtures the heart center. My studies in somatic science led me to the healing power of sound vibrations, and I’ve gathered a beautiful collection of crystal singing bowls and Tibetan metal bowls to support this work.

For 17 years, my psychotherapy private practice has been maturing and deepening, integrating the Enneagram with somatic practices, sound healing, sensory experiences, and Jungian-inspired methods. Through my unique approach, Essence Embodiment, I combine somatic psychology, neuroscience, and creative practices to guide individuals toward wholeness, healing, and a profound connection with their essence.
